Introduction to Denimnology

Recently, I've develop a passion for vintage designer jeans. It's a passion I'll share with everyone who mourns a pair of jeans as a close friend. Jeans had become a part of my life. Just like music and cooking, they share the same characteristics and attitude that will drive you wanting for more.

Jeans are more than just a piece of clothing. A pair of jeans is like a second skin, naked and personal. Besides leather, Denim has the ability to age so beautifully - formed by its user into a

second skin. The longer you wear 'em, the more attitude they get!

Chapter 1 - Dry/Raw Denim

Over time, the indigo on the denim will generally fade, which is often considered desirable. Indigo is called "the living colour" by the guys at Nudie jeans co. because it fades gradually. When wearing dry denim, the indigo naturally wears out creating a contrast at the parts where you make natural creases. This bleeding process is called dry crocking. Please mind your white undies and avoid sitting on white sofas while wearing dry unwashed denim or you might get blue undies or stain people's brand new sofa. Hahah

Anyway, Two of my favorite brands that produce the best "Raw" jeans that I would like to share with you all are Nudie Jeans Co, & G-Star Raw. Both European!!

G-Star Raw Denim 3301

G-Star Raw is a Dutch Clothing company founded in Amsterdam during the 1980s. The Brand specializes in making Raw Denim and is influenced by European fashion trends as well as by military clothing.

G-Star is well known for its innovative and cutting edge style in the world of denim. It features various styles of cuttings and fittings that includes special pockets and zippered arm pockets.
A pair of G-Stars are like a pair of never before seen jeans. Personally, wearing a pair of G-Stars gives you some sort of aura that makes you feel great. G-Stars are good stuff, so go get one!!

Nudie Jeans Co.

Nudie jeans is a Swedish denim brand that started out in 2001 originating at Gothenburg, Sweden. Nudies specialises in dry denim and pre-washed denim including black deni m. Nudies features a variety of cuttings from slim fitting kinds to straight baggy ones. Personally, my favorites includes the Average Joe, Thin Finn and the Regular Alf. One thing I love about nudies is they are so Comfortable!! They might not be the most comfortable pair of jeans at first(due to dry organic denim) but the longer you wear them, the more comfortable it gets. One bad thing about wearing dry denim is, it really stains my shoes and underwear!! FML

Did you know, nudie jeans co. uses organic denim to produce their jeans. The organic denim are made from the best 100% organically grown cotton from Turkey, Japan and the States. Melilea got organic?? Nudies also got mahh!! hahah Anyway, I feel it's kinda cool to wear a pair of "organic jeans".

End of Autumn.

It has been months since I last blog. Been so busy with life here. Yeahh... Autumn just left and it's Winter now. First week of winter was alright, let's just hope i'll be able to survive winter with a thin jacket.(Time to get a new one ;) ) It's getting colder everyday and in times like this I really miss the warm nights back in Malaysia. It'll be great if I can have hot Kueh Chap/Laksa here too keep me warm but sigh~ & As usual, I miss home a lot and i can't wait to go back.... = ( Late night chilling with ma homies babay~!! Can't fuckin wait ; )

Anyway, its freakin 4am in the Morning now and my Sleep regulation thingy is fucked. Time to get some shut eye. Peace out!!

It's been months since i update this thing. I've been really busy with all the enjoyment and relaxation in kuching! somethings just can't be express by words. Anyway, I Had a great 1 month Holiday in Kuching. Manage to catch up with my homies and meet up with a couple of old faces. Time really flies when you're having fun.

And now...i'm in Melbourne. A year had just passed in a blink of an eye. Not in KL anymore, no more goin back every 2 months or less. I'm gonna be here for a whole year! let's just hope time passes by smoothly. till then~ Peace Out ya'll!!

Last Day in KL.

Since it's the last day of my life here in KL and there's nothing better to do, I thought i should update this thing before I go back to the isles of boredom. There won't be anymore excitement and entertainment in Kuching and the only thing you can do is eat, sleep, shit and wait die ...LOL ; p

It's been a great year with all my KL budds. Time flies when you are having a great time and one year had just passed in a blink of an eye. You guys gave me an experience of a lifetime. All the partyin and late night outs.. From Jason Mraz to AAR. And Man Utd to late night partyin' at MOS...ahhh~ you just can't get stuff like this back home. Now it's time to pack and leave.

Though i had to go through a lot of tough times alone here, i think its fucking worth it. Learnt lots of stuff here, meet all sorts of people and gain a wider view of the outside world. And best of all, i get to go to MOS and all sorts of concerts and events. (Can't wait to go to the ones in Melbourne xD)

I've just spend my "last night" shishain' with Bren and Marcel and i think to myself, "Shit! this is the fucking last time i'll be sitting here infront of the Mamak at Suriamas." Time really flies when you are having fun!! Gonna miss all the shishain and Mamak food here man!! Gonna miss all of my KL Buddies. And i'm gonna miss MOS man!!

Well, my stomach is rumblin' and i guess its time for the Mamak again...I wish ya'll the best in your future undertakings and do drop by to Kuching sometime when ya'll are free. And do keep in touch. Peace Out!

An Awesome Halloween @ The All-American Rejects Live in Malaysia 2009!!!

Halloween...the day which zombies and vampires raised from the dead. Ghost and spirits walk the lonely streets...or are they just little kids with their Halloween costumes ? Too bad there's no such culture like this in Malaysia. Hahah..anyway The All-American Rejects came back again to trow another breath-taking and spectacular performance at Bukit Jalil.( Thanks to Digi!!) And what a better way to spend Halloween than going to the Concert!! <3

Well, it took me 3 train rides to Bukit Jalil cause Matt and Ming don't wana go ,so what otherway to travel in KL?? Ahh the only choices was by train. Seriously!! The Malaysian railway system is so fucked up. Got there at 7 by KTM,Monorail & LRT..tiring huh??But It's all worth it cause the concert was fucking awesome!! Opening acts include Pop Shuvit, Disagree and One Buck Short. The lead singer of One Buck short got injured and got sent to the Hospital!! hahahaha so...they replaced him with Buckface's lead singer.

AAR finaly came on stage at 9. What a tiring 2 hour wait!! Chris Gaylor(AAR's Drummer) was hiding behind the drumset all the while. Then he poped out and started the "Move Along" drum beat and everyone was fucking high!! The drizzlin' made the concert even better. AAR was fucking awesome!! Tracks played by AAR includes Move Along, Swing Swing, I wanna, It Ends Tonight, Falling Apart, The Wind Blows, Real World, Dirty Little Secrets, Gives You Hell and one more other song which i forgot.LOL The performance kicked ass and enjoy the picts~!! & Happy Halloween By the Way!!~ : )

Bored!!

It's been so boring lately and the only things i do are sleep,eat,shit and study! A couple more days of this shit and i'm through. Sad life huh? lol. Anyway its less than 4 weeks now! I can't wait to go back to Kuching!!But then finals are coming and i might as well just study to kill time. Can't wait till' finals are over man and we all can party to the Maxx!! The All American Rejects is comming this Saturday and this gives me something that i can look foward to. Can't wait to see them live.

Last Day of College!!!

Another year has passed and it's time to say goodbye to my KL buddies. It's been a fun and great year. You guys gave me an experience of a lifetime! I've never really thought that I'll miss you guys that much!!

I still remember the first day of college. Everyone was like damn shy (including me xD) and afraid to say a word. But then we gotta know each other. All the fun times and great moments made time passed so fast. All the joys, laughter and jokes just seems so nice. Everything seem so right and here we are now, staring, at the end of our S.A.M life....

It's been a great year. I've meet lots of people with different personalities, characteristics and culture. KL is a really nice place to enjoy with all the Clubs, Concerts and Events!! but the accommodation i have here really sucks! Imagine having no internet for 1 whole year. When ever i can get out of the house, I'll definitely do it. (a Big thanks to Ming and Matt for drivin' me around during my time here!) Remember Jason Mraz's concert guys? it's fuckin awesome! I'm gonna miss the smell of nasi lemak in class every morning! Anyways..All the best guys and Good Luck in your Lives!!!
